Beach Plum Bum! Finally we have had production from our Beach Plums!
We threw these guys in the ground on the off-chance they might grow. And this year they really shined. We have Beach Plum Jamly for sale!
I juice the fruit and re-add its pulp to produce a smooth, merlot colored jam that has a unique plum taste with a musky overtone.
The plants arrived several years ago as 6 inch sticks. Yes, really. We basically ignore them, maybe weed around them when we can't see them. And now they are going cuckoo.
This is a beautiful jamly to look at and eat!
